Songwriter and producer OnThe Edge reminds listeners that time is fleeting and encourages them to seize the day, with their release of "The Measure of Life". This haunting, minor-keyed ballad features a mostly acoustic arrangement that slowly builds from delicate guitar arpeggios with solo voice, adding cinematic strings, piano, and vocal layers to create a glorious cathedral of sound, highlighted by a stirring electric guitar solo. Singer Melissa Hollick's voice is meticulously stacked and artfully arranged as she delivers a poetic yet earnest exploration of the human condition that concludes with an optimistic ending, reflected in the major final chord. "Dance The Night Away" RadioAirplay.com Review Read

I've had the good fortune of reviewing a number of tracks now from songwriter/producer extraordinaire OnTheEdge, and I'm proud to say that with each new tune of his that comes my way, I naturally expect to be dazzled - and here I am once again well and truly impressed!  “Dance The Night Away” doesn’t simply play—it shape-shifts, glows, and thrums with the unrestrained confidence of a producer who knows exactly how far to push a genre before bending it into something entirely his own. OnTheEdge has long shown a knack for hybridizing styles, but here he takes that gift and turns it into a kind of musical choreography, guiding diverse musical personalities across the floor and making them move in perfect synchrony. “Dance The Night Away” is full of melody, expertly produced, and staggeringly inventive without ever feeling self-indulgent. It’s a track that delights in its own creativity while remaining immediately accessible—a rare balance achieved only by creators with a deep understanding of both their tools and their audience. OnTheEdge doesn’t just write or produce songs, he engineers experiences—and this one dances, dazzles, and transforms with every passing moment.

"When I'm Gone" RadioAirplay.com Review Read

Having already reviewed On The Edge's fantastical alternative progressive rock track "Lonely Together", which I thoroughly enjoyed may I add, it's safe to say I went into "Sky So Blue" with rather high expectations, and lo and behold, those expectations were most certainly met. Whereas "Lonely Together" leaned heavily into its prog/alternative rock roots, "Sky So Blue" adopts a predominately fusion-esque sense of musical character, seamlessly blending jazz, funk, soul, and rock genres to glorious effect. Whether it's the atmospheric synth textures, jazzy sax flourishes, soulful organ elements, or funky groove-laden bass hooks, a fantastic concoction of sonic diversity has been cooked up, and thanks to the superb performances and detail-rich production, "Sky So Blue" can deliver a deeply rewarding listening experience, one that many a music aficionado can enjoy.

"The Garden" RadioAirplay.com Review Read

I've had the great pleasure of reviewing a previous track by talented songwriter/producer OnTheEdge and similar to how I was mightily impressed and taken by their high level of musicianship and passion for the craft then, I find myself equally enamored by their latest offering, the beautiful balladesque "The Garden". Serving as a compelling reflection on the passage of time and the enduring power of memories, the track paints a richly detailed picture of a cherished place where dreams were born and hearts were entwined, where the innocence of youth and the wisdom of age converge in a timeless dance of love and longing. You could say the imagery of a garden is used as a metaphor for childhood innocence and the enduring nature of memories, and thanks to the lushly layered nature of the arrangement, the excellent performances, and the sweeping melodies, "The Garden" presents listeners with an enveloping listening experience, one of that will linger in the memory for some time to come.
